Worth noting that the Hungarian woman who Alicia so nearly beat in R2 went on to beat the second seed, and then the fourth seed, to make the final (before getting hammered by Chanel).

Good effort, Alicia - and good luck in the dubs final (against Chanel going for the double......)

The doubles final is not going so well for Alicia and Nina, down 3-6 *2-3, though they have finally earned a break midway through the second set.
During the first set though, Alicia and Nina must have set some kind of doubles record however. During the opponents first three service games, they earned 10 BPs, and failed to convert any of them. In a no deuce match that seems extremely hard to achieve!!!

Unfortunately their opponents have had no trouble breaking, 4/6 so far, compared with finally 1/11, and victory is likely to be soon...

and the loss is confirmed 2-6 2-6, but still a good doubles run for Alicia and Nina (who also reached the singles SF).
