Nice draw for Beth - plays the winner of two Polish wildcards in Q2 - one a 17 year old with JCH 598(2015) and the other not even listed on the ITF.
Friedsam not in qualifying, so may have WC or SE in main draw.
Well done Ms. Grey.
A win or two in the main draw now the goal - and an increasingly viable proposition, given her hard work and form - to start really increasing the points returns and replacing the single point counters in her overall total.

Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.
Beth has tweeted that this is the last competition of her autumn block.
She has 8 points to come off still this year, so could do with a couple of wins to add to last week's points.

Played an awful lot of tournaments on the bounce - so no surrise.
Doubles draw is out L16 GREY, Sarah Beth (GBR) /RUEFFER, Lena (GER) 2 CR 813 (351+462) v Bye No sign of Sam ..........
Sam must have been injured at Shrewsbury in the doubles as they were planning to play doubles together.
I think the initial issue may have been earlier that day in Sam's singles QF loss where there was a MTO. Then Beth and her retired early in their doubles SF.
Anyway even if that is it for this season, I do hope nothing too serious and that she can still have a productive close season and come out firing in the new year. She has found some momentum lately. The fact that Sam still shows on the last acceptance list so was a very late singles withdrawal hopefully indicates she was fairly close to playing and nothing very bad.
Just the one - her first service game. 42 minute demolition, for an easy 6 points (5+1)
Meanwhile, Beth plays the winner of the match with the top seed, who is currently trailing 1-6 0-2*
R1: GREY, Sarah Beth (GBR) Q 655 def WYSOCZANSKA, Katarzyna (POL) WC UNR 6-1 6-0
R2: GREY, Sarah Beth (GBR) Q 655 v LESNIAK, Marta (POL) 448 CH=445 2004
Marta beat the top seed 6-1 6-1. She stopped playing at the age of 20 and came back for one tournament last year after an eight year gap. After a further 5 month delay she started playing regularly from April this year winning a succession of 15K events and reaching the final of others.
