Pity. But actually good just to see that Jay was back out playing in the doubles after his issues yesterday. Maybe was indeed basically cramp and he'll be fine for his singles R2.

L16:  (4) Ramkumar Ramanathan (IND) WR 150 (CH = 146 last month) vs Brydan Klein WR 292

It took Ramanathan two hours & 56 minutes to subdue Brydan's doubles partner, Marc Polmans, by 6-7(5) 7-6(5) 7-6(9), so with any luck, he'll still be a bit tired when he plays Brydan.

With Jay still to have 42 points to come off this year Brydan is the only one of the two with an outside chance of making the Aussie Qualifying. 60 more points would take him to about 240. So outside chance. I see he's down for the Indonesian 25k the week after the 2nd Indian Challenger. Is the cut off after those points would go on?

Jay says what's this "only one" business ?

For now more of an outside chance in that net of points to come off before and including the 18/12 cut-off he indeed started Pune 37 points behind Brydan ( 166 to 129 ). But that's the first 15 additional points so far in India Week 1.

More prosaically these 15 points ( net 9 ) so far for this week should have him challenging his CH 280.

QF:  Jay Clarke WR 288 vs (3) Yuki Bhambri (IND) WR 137 (CH = 88 in November 2015)

A slightly more daunting task than King, methinks.
