Really good from Eden and further reward for that earlier R2 fightback from 3-6 0-4 down.

Will take her to 54 points on Monday week, probably around WR 530. If she goes on to win the title it will be 59 points and probably about WR 510 and then heading these seeking to be the next to make the top 500 for the first time. At the moment that leader is going to be Maia on 55 points. Also continuing to make moves are Jodie to 48 points and Beth to 43 on Monday week.

For now though I am sure just winning that first title will be what really matters and would be more than enough satisfaction. Go, Eden !

Both Eden's last two matches are available on YouTube and she's played some nice stuff - much more consistent from the baseline than when I saw her on the grass, and some nice serve placement too. She also seems to have a very calm demeanour on court, but maybe that's hard to tell on video!

The first set was tight, only 4 points in it though Eden got 3 breaks to 1. The second was not though, Tess thumped her in it. Hope Eden can regroup now at the start of the third.
