Wow, that is some win there ... Real congratulations to Summer... it may only be one point, but taking out the WR503... 400 places higher than the first round career best scalp... is showing some promise indeed. Some way to go yet before Summer gets a formal ranking, but this is brilliant notice of her potential
(and blob and I are managing to mirror each other again )

Before this week, Summer had never beaten a ranked player at all. Now, back-to-back wins, improving her best scalp to 905, and now to 502
that's probably because she has hardly played on the ITF circuit. She has mopped up the BT Tour, its about time she had a crack on tour. She turns 18 in January - no idea if she plans to go to college or turn pro, but she will not be out of place on the ITF 15k circuit.
Summer has so far played in four tournaments. Wirral Q1 loss in three Sunderland Q1 bye, Q2 UNR win, R1 loss Shrewsbury Q1 UNR win, Q2 loss Helsinki Q1 UNR win, Q2 1208 win, R1 905 win, R2 502 win.
She seems to be on a fast learning curve.

Eden is taking a beating at the moment from an unranked Finnish 16yr old, who nevertheless is at a current career high JWR 67. 3-6 *0-3
... and just checking this is Oona's second counter, as she has another L16 win in Finland in Aug. She also does not yet have a doubles ranking though reached a 15k doubles final in Nonthaburi last month.
