That is not a good final, and shows that Katie B WAS injured in her match yesterday against Kuzmova
A good week for both Katies, and congrats to Katie S on the win... but very disappointing it has to be decided on Katie B's injury and retirement. I only hope it is not too serious and she can return soon.
Katie Swann has to be feeling pretty lucky after winning final and semi on retirements, and probably an injured quarter final opponent as well.
Yes. Though I certainly do believe she's been generally playing up a level of late, probably helped quite a lot by her no longer seeming herself to have so many injury concerns, maybe not biggies but disruptive in her early senior career.
Anyway, very well done to the Katies on their week. And hope nothing too serious with Katie B.
The new CHs for both on Monday week will be Katie B very probably into the top 200 and Katie S at least very close to the top 300.
Katie B is entered for the 100k in Shenzhen in week 45 (along with Katie D and Laura), so I hope it's nothing serious. Chance of some points, as she is listed 9th in the main draw.

Domestically Katie S will be up to GB #6 ( I had been waiting to see if Tara has a big Canada 60K run but that didn't go past R1 ). Katie B will strengthen as GB #4 with Laura in between the two Katies.
Katy D has today just dropped out of the top 300 again to WR 301 ( she will be a couple of ranking points behind Katie S, 160 to 158 ). It's a real pity that she has essentially been stuck in the 250 to 350 range for a few years now and each time she threatens to go higher she falls back. Keep the chin up and keep going for it, Katy.
Hopefully we can end the year with both Katie S and Katy D in the top 300 ( both have some points to defend yet so will need to add more ) to give us at least 7, and next year more follow through.
