Zverev has been taken out by Tsonga who will play Philip Kohlschreiber in the other SF.

Well I hope Kyle doesn't go on to regret missing those two BPs. The first in particular seemed like such an easy put away on the volley.

*2-3

Great comeback from 0-4 down in that tie-break, before saving set points at 5-6* and *6-7. Won it on his first set point.

Hit a fantastic Murray-esque BHDTL winner to get the mini-break back, with Pouille lamping forehands into his backhand.

I am sure Kyle forgot about "that" volley long ago but now I can forget about it too.

Despite having to come back from 0-4 in the TB, I think Kyle probably deserved that set having created 6 BPs to Pouille's zero.

Ah, fortunately I was out of the room for the start of the TB!

I knew I shouldn't have mentioned those BP stats as Pouille breaks in the opening game on the 2nd.

On a more general note, is it my imagination or is Kyle being a bit more demonstrative on court. I am seeing fist pumps and hearing "come on" shouts.

SF: Lucas Pouille (FRA) WR 25 (CH = 13 in May) beat Kyle Edmund WR 63 6-7(7) 6-4 6-3

Not much to choose between them although Pouille did get better as the match went on. He also served better than Kyle. However the match was close enough to suggest that Kyle is more than capable of turning the result on its head in Paris next week,

But a decent week and a much needed points haul for Kyle.

Argh. Oh well, as you say Bob, more points, and a chance for revenge in Paris!

Kyle did pretty well to take it to three sets after such a shaking start but a very decent week and an opportunity to start better inParis.

Kyles result looks even better now that Pouille crushed Tsonga in straight sets.

Again, maybe rather more general competitiveness for most of the match as opposed to the result.

That is clutching at straws, a bit like saying Christian Caratti is amazing as he beat Goran at Queens because 2 weeks later he won wimbledon.
