That win also means the GB women this week have amassed 22 wins from 21 entries: greater than 1 win per entry. The 11th occasion on which that has happened in 2017.

Third week in a row for Mirabelle to get a point at Hammamet - needs them - 5 more off this year.
Now that Mirabelle has started winning R1 matches again, she could do with ending her streak of 12 R2 losses (since she made the SFs in Sharm just over a year ago too) - a match against the 4th seed doesn't look that hopeful at first sight but the only time they met before in an ITF (Clermont-Ferrand 25K qualifying in 2015), Mirabelle thrashed Chantraine 1 & 1!

Mirabelle does not win her R16 match, 5-7 6-7(3)
But, she was a break up in each set against the fourth seed, and it was all very close, so more tentative signs of some sort of stabilisation of form, despite the loss.

Yes it's certainly been looking better and hopefully she can build up as she did before. From R1 wins to R2 wins to some QFs or further. For now some light, well done to her.
Yes, much better signs of renewed life in Mirabelle here. This is a much better performance and does follow up her more promising signs over the last couple of seeds. However to wind a R2 match again she is still going to have to beat a higher ranked and seeded player and it is a long time since she last beat someone ranked higher than her (and of course there have been a growing number of players that are higher ranked as she has slipped down the rankings)...
