Ms. Grey reaping the rewards of hard work, commitment and application. Highly commendable.

Almost all of the available Q places in the MD are pretty much stinkers, but it'll be interesting to see how ours go, nevertheless.

Beth is really in good form.
The draw is tough, but there should be good points available at the weak GB 15ks where Beth should boost her ranking even further.

Well the qualifiers have been placed, and Beth has got the worst place, against the No 1 seed.
But Em does avoid a seed.

Both Brits have 0-1 H2Hs against their R1 opponents, but last played them more than 5 years ago:

Emily lost 3 & 1 to Piter in Bath in 2010

Beth lost 1 & 1 to von Deichmann in Istanbul in 2011

Btw. good to see Emily win 2 singles matches in a row (the first time in 8 tournaments / since July) and to win them so convincingly
