That's a nasty draw for the 2nd seeds in doubles: Klahn underranked because of having been out for injuries, Withrow on the rise (has been playing with Austin Krajicek and doing quite well). Fourth seeds' draw isn't beautiful either: Ramanathan in particular is better than his ranking.

Cam has withdrawn. Down as a shoulder injury.

Cam has played a load of matches, not suprised to see him withdraw.   Liam must me so disappointed!  If Cam had withdrawn a couple of days ago, Liam would have made the main draw!

Yes, been a rough start to this tournament from a GB perspective. Would have expected Liam to be automatic entry and was unusual how few dropped out, so he became Q1 in a very tough Qualies draw. Then I expected it would be a Liam- Jay face off for qualies spot, which with Cam's LL spot available could have seen them both in.

Then Liam was upset by the Aussie after a marathon 8th game of the final set in which Liam had at least 6 or 7 game points. Thankfully, Jay came through having looked to be struggling, and then Cam (understandably) has pulled out when another final would have seen him into the hallowed Top 100. Bah!

Hope Alex or Jay can still salvage the week for us.

Wow, just three pairs in qualifying, with one place at stake

Cam's up to a career-high Nelson (111) in today's rankings.  smile

Cam needs to jack in this challenger tennis and move to 250s, over all he is still on course for a top 30 position next September.

Well that's three more than is often the case    But yes when they do have qualifying it's usually four pairs for one place,

Will Jay be in as a LL then as he is the highest Q seed that lost in final Q round?

Don't they take how many LL spots there are and then add 1 and the top(in this case) 3 players from the FQR get put in a hat and two get pulled out. So one of Alex and Jay will be in and a2nd maybe.
