L32: (2) Alexander Zverev (GER) WR 4 defeated Kyle Edmund WR 45 by 6-3 7-6(3)
Shame it was not best of 5, as the little brat Zverev has the fitness and stamina of player from the COPD over 65 futures senior event. How can a player win 2 masters and not even reach a grandslam QF?

Well, he's ranked behind a player who has spent much of the year having shingles, losing tennis matches, limping around tennis courts and playing one tournament in a about a dozen weeks ( edit: or rather no tournament in about the last dozen weeks, I somehow having fantasised that Andy stepped on court competitively at the US Open ).
Really the ATP Tour Finals should be a challenge series between Rafa and Roger

I wonder if that might be it for the season for Aljaz, having previously suggested such a possibility. With nothing to defend for also missing the latter part of last year there is / was a real opportunity to move further up the rankings.
