L16:  (8) Cameron Norrie WR 136 vs Brydan Klein WR 235

Cam cannot lose this,  I'm going 6-2, 6-4.  Or if Klein serves in GOAT mode, 7-6 7-6 to Cam.

Liam gets lucky with a let cord and breaks for 4-2.  He is playing really well

Spoke too soon about him playing really well. Really poor service game with 3 UEs and we are back on serve.  4-3

6-5 to Liam with Tennys to serve.  Decent standard, no wind, camera pointing away from the sun and the stream is really good.  Liam has been into most of Tennys' severice games

Liam played a beautifully in the TB to lead 5-2 with his serves to come, but went on to lose it 9-7.  A real shame

Good set of tennis all told. And, yes, a super tie-break for the first half (he was even 5-1 when they turned). Don't quite know how he lost that tie-break.... :(

Sandgren hits two doubles to concede his serve. 2-1 for Liam

Shouldn't have lost it - Tennys was keeping the ball in play, playing cautiously waiting for the mistakes. Liam went for shots that didn't come off. Not out of it yet though, I'm still expecting Liam to win. *2-1 in the second

5-4, going with serve. Liam to serve.   Liam has been poor at attacking very short 2nd serves. Such short serves have to be attacked, but he has missed loads of them.

Liam hits a couple of UEs to lose the match 7-6, 6-4.  It was a good match, I enjoyed watching.  Liam didn't save many break points. His serve didn't generate any easy points.  I think he will be frustrated, it was a close .

Bah pity for Liam, but he continues to generally play at a much better level of late, although it seems a bit down on his best today. He may just about sneak back into the top 200.
