Dom & Daniel finally beginning to gel?  They'll face Jamie & Bruno in the semis if they win their QF.

Great result and a VERY welcome 180 points after Dom dropped a 250 title last week. Well done!

Actually, I think it is  just astonishing that Dan Nestor is still competing at this level at the age of 45! Nice lifestyle, playing pro sport, making decent money but out of the spotlight. He must have been a really good person in a previous life.....

If he's playing a five-set match, you can see him tire by the end. But he is amazing - so gifted and able to draw on skills of craft to cover areas where he's not as strong. Loved the fact that when Canada won its recent DC match, two points came from the 18 year old, and one from the (then) 44 year old. Indeed, if you look at the three playing members of the DC team, the ages of the younger two equal the age of the third.

I see the SF is the Brit+ match up, Dom and Daniel vs Jamie and Bruno

Nice, clean win for Jamie & Bruno against a decent pairing.

Now for divided loyalties time:

SF:  Dom Inglot & Daniel Nestor (CAN) CR 105 (64+41) vs (2) Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares (BRA) CR 23 (11+12)  hmm

Nestor has won at least one Tour level tournament for the past 23 seasons. He's running out of time to win one this year.

Interesting!  The top seeds, JJR & Tecau, have been dumped out by the local wild cards, McLachlan (yes, I know...) & Uchiyama, in two tie-breaks, which means Jamie & Bruno are the only seeds left in the draw.

Big match for both - Jamie wins and he gets back into top 10; Dom wins and he gets back into top 50. May the best on the day win!
