I have no real problem with Ilhan. I guess he's been asked by the organisers to come and prop up the event. The sponsors may well have insisted. Everyone likes a home victory. And he's entered properly. And has a decent ranking because he presumably plays challengers most of the time.
But Mate has no excuse - he shouldn't be in the quali draw, didn't enter on time, and is Croatian (so no excuse).
So he's no mate of mine.....
