Alice holding tough at the moment... both having trouble holding, but Alice gets one more break, then at 15-40 faces two more BPs herself.. and holds. So now it is 6-3 7-5 4-1* and 2hrs 54 mins so far. One last push Alice...

Alice's SF opponent is now being decided. Could be the #1 seed, but said seed is a set and break down to an American player with a very obvious Sri Lankan surname and double the ranking.

QF: GILLAN, Alice (GBR) Q UNR beat MA, Yexin (CHN) 1127 CH=935 3/4/17 18yo JCH=172 6-3 5-7 7-5

And the rain is back before Alice's next opponent can be finalised, but would seem it's likely to be the #1 seed Riya Bhatia who is 4-6 6-4 4-2 up.

This match has been carried over till tomorrow now, so Alice's SF match will follow that, if the rain allows... and no qualifying matches were held today, so Alice is still in that draw too.
