Cam seeded, while Alex gets a special exempt place and draws someone using their protected ranking this time. Brydan was 1st Alt in the end but doesn't seem to have got in and isn't in qualifying either.

A beautiful place, a SE is just reward for last weeks endeavours, very pleased and excited for Alex that his Wimbledon run has given him the opportunity to get over for this west coast challenger swing.
It is not a stacked event this year so opportunities to be had for both Cam and Alex.

Elias Ymer is definitely one to watch - has been doing great things for Swedish tennis (along with younger brother). One of the highlights of Wimbly qualis. Quite a flashy game - good to watch. (He got to WR 5 in juniors). (And he won a challengers in Italy in August).

It would be fair to say that Alex didn't make much impression on return, winning a total of 6 return points in the match with 3 of these in the final game which he took to deuce before Gonzalez clinched it.
A new career high for cam guaranteed. Could play Michael Mmoh next, seeded 4 but only 1 place ahead of cam on live rankings. It wont be long before cam is top 100 and he could very well chase down places in one or two ATP events early next year before Australian qualies, assuming he doesnt reach the main draw of course.
