Well, as aid, I do hope young Florian, unranked in juniors or adult, and playing his first ITF tournament, having lost in QR1, is very grateful to Oli

That gives guaranteed British interest in the doubles final in the top half.
And hopefully Luke J and Rich Gabb will now close out the other QF and ensure the same for the bottom half.

How do I sign up to play with a pro like Florian did? Sounds like fun batting a ball back over the net. Reckon I could win a round or two....

Not Konecny's day:

QF:  Rob Carter & Ryan Peniston UNR defeated (4) Joe Cooper & Michal Konecny (CZE) CR 2250 (1710+540) by 4 & 3

So a single solitary pesky in the doubles semis - & he's Northern Irish!

Guez vs Farquharson is a tight match 6-2 3-6 *3-2 deuce at the moment. Important to break back here, you'd think.

Tom, tom, the piper's son, broke a Frenchman and away he run....

That's five games he won on the trot to take that set.

Great win, Tom

And we're three out of three for at least one Brit into the final.

Actually, it was 22 points, I was trying to count off the momentum graph as the PbP moved onto the next game

Very good win for Tom, the break back was decisive, and Guez only won 4 points in the last three games

2-6 6-3 6-3

Very good and yes those British futures certainly proving good for the Brits.

No-one I think is asking for them to be spoon fed. Just certainly not be so spoon deprived !!

I really do hope that Tom can find a way to play more tournaments and closer realise his still largely untapped potential in ranking terms.
