I'm really delighted to see Oli come through in thumping style today 6-3 6-0. That's some turn around from last week's result. I suppose there is still Guez there, who would be a potential semi-final opponent, but Oli is my favourite for the title now.
Pity that Oli and Tom have to play in the next round against each other as they are probably the best 2 left in the draw. One of them a stick on for the final at least you'd expect.
Congrats to others for some good results today too, especially Rob Carter and young Anton Matusevich, who earns his first point. Just needs Tommy Bennett to come through now - (5)6-7 6-3 and Jonathan Gray, who is having a tough match against the lower ranked Jeremy Beale (AUS).
Well that was wishful thinking, both Jonathan and Tommy lost to their Aussie opponents.

Absolutely.
And pity, too, that they're in the top half with Guez who - although uninspiring - is consistent and solid and probably better than Konecny
Ryan S hasn't really capitalised on his great run in Ireland - got a couple of wins/points, here and there, which is all good, but not enough to make any real impact.
However, thrilled to see that Luke J has got a good win over the American. That'll get Luke into the top 1000. And with his doubles being successful, it's good to see another big-serving college boy doing well.
(A spring article about Luke said his plans for this year were to make top-800 in singles and top-500 in doubles). He's not quite there yet but he's not that far off.... Top-100 is the long-term goal.....)
Young Aidan is no doubt being drop-shotted to death by the Czech second seed and has lost the first set 3-6.
Ryan P (another college top-1000 very soon prospect) is 5-5 in the third with Sean H.

Given that Luke is currently precisely WR 1000, I take it that you come from the Tara Moore school of thought
That's a really impressive looking win by Oli. I fancied some turnaround with Oli being no doubt fresher this time, plus no doubt generally progressing his game again, but not to that extent.
Now Oli vs Tom. I had earlier reckoned that Tom might well edge such a clash here but that Oli win is food for thought. Just, as has been said, pity they meet so early, but of course rather misleadingly ranked and thus unseeded as they are they lay in wait to pounce. But ideally not against each other!
