So not to be, in terms of an all GB final, but another really good week for Billy and a big improvement in his CH ranking.
Small consolation is that at least I won't have split loyalties in the final. A win for Tom would push him very close to the top 500 once all his points have gone on to the system.

Final: Tom Farquharson WR 703 vs (5) Grégoire Barrère (FRA) WR 698
Worth putting that Greg B has a CH of 187 a year ago.
He's been changing his coaching set-up a lot, was one of the names quite touted as being a possible star, (and was given a WC into qualis at Roland Garros and a WC into the doubles main draw, so is obviously favoured by the FFT0.
But hasn't really had the results (hence, changing his training base - I think he's at the All In Academy, now, just outside Paris, with Marc Gicquel and Thierry Ascione and Haehnel).
Looking at the draw you've got to say the most likely scenario here is a repeat of last weeks final. Go Tom!
I'm not sure I agree. Neil seems to be in good form and Barrere can be really good, so the winner of that match is a more likely finalist in my eyes. Tom should be the favourite in the other half, but Guez is no mug.
Based on my home made rankings system (see above) where I awarded W = 10, R = 7, Semi = 5 Q =3 and L16 = 1 point at each of the last few weeks events, even with one week to go Tom F has come out as the top player of the "circuit". Barrere could get equal 3rd with a win in the final, or Tom could go comfortably clear . lloyd second best, Oli 4th or so, Neil P, Finn and Billy also finished high up. Oil G was the only player to make win a match at all 3 events

ha! They do. But I like amusing myself and I don't necessarily agree with the points system in all cases. But more I like amusing myself. Today was work at home Friday and it's amazing what you can get done working at home
Rare for TWO unseeded doubles players to make the final - well done to Ryan P and Rob.
I'm probably being stupid CD but isn't an unseeded pair by definition two unseeded doubles players?! Or am I getting the wrong end of the proverbial stick?

Nobody's being stupid - CD just meant to say two unranked players, I think. i.e. It's not that unusual for one unranked player to make a doubles final but they're usually playing with a good (ranked) partner at the time.
