They come through, 3-6 6-3 [10-4]
They face the top seeds in the SF

Edit: As the Addict just noted, in fact!

Another super win for Grey-Nicholls, into the final
SF: Grey/Nicholls (GBR/GBR) 1019 defeated Di. Marcinkevica/Schoofs (LAT/NED) [2] 410 6-3 7-5

Can Emily also make it through to guarantee us a winner? She's up next, alongsde Sofia, to take on the top seeds.

Beaten to it by blob - I was looking up the rankings myself. Another great result, and the 30 points gained this week more than make up for the 12 they are about to lose.

Very good to see

Certainly Beth seems to be a good little doubles player, but from the admittedly relatively little I have seen but also noticing some results with say Alicia B ( their 15K title last week already replacing Olivia's 12 due off on Monday ), Olivia seems to have a lot in her locker as a doubles player. I know she is on a certain coaching related pathway but it would be good if she can take the time / time out to explore where she can really get to on the pro circuit, particularly in doubles.

As a pair Beth and Olivia have a further 31 points ( including two more 15K titles ) coming off in November and early December so this is all very good in advance of these points coming off, apart from of course great in its own right and showing their continued progress.

Reposting this from theLondon tennis tube videos thread - it's a year ago (October 2016), but worth a look

And a quality women's doubles final involving Britain's own Sarah Beth Gray and Olivia Nicholls, from Loughborough and the pink tennis courts

Olivia doesn't need to take the time out to do pro tennis.

It's a PLAYER-coach programme so it's deliberately structured so you do both.

They 'only' have to commit to 15 weeks coaching so there is the whole of the rest of the year available for the pro tour.

And because they are funded, the pressure is off (to a reasonable extent). And they are in full-time tennis and physical training because that's part of the coaching programme too.

Em and Sofia led 5-3* but were broken to 30 and the top seeds picked up steam.

Girls go out 76(5) 61

Whilst checking when the doubles is due to start today (Beth and Olivia due on court next), I noticed on the singles MD that Friedsam is through to play Dalma Galfi [2], with a possible QF opponent of Belinda Bencic, who won the $100k in St Petersburg last week, her first tournament since April.

Crazy how stacked and tough this draw is for a 25k. A well earned 1 point for Olivia you'd have to say.

Friedsam doesn't make it past Galfi (6-7 3-6) but Bencic squeezes through (6-4 7-6)

Totally Agree - European 25ks have always been oversubscribed - which is why the players with funding go further afield.

Close, but Grey-Nicholls will need to shore up their middle order to take this into the final 'day' 4-6
Bat on, ladies!

7 breaks of serve in that first set, did well after being 0-4 down. Now 1-1* in the second

Not to be today for Grey-Nicholls, but final of a $25K is a good week, their second bets ever each - they having won a $25K together in 2015.
F: Grey/Nicholls (GBR/GBR) 1019 lost to Lapko/Lister (BLR/SWE) [1] 611 4-6 3-6

Pity. But a very good week and still should be a new CH for Olivia on Monday week, possibly just inside the top 450, taking out her CH 457 from last November, achieved shortly before they dropped their Bath 25K title points.

They have points from four 10K finals to drop in November ( two 12 point titles and two 7 point RUs ).
