The yanky chap on here said Cam would excel on clay some days ago and he must be applauded... TCU Frog-chap from memory.. Bloody hell he performed. Cam doesn't have the weapon but he keeps it alive and Agut struggled with that..

The Spaniards don't like it up em.. but the dubs as ever is critical. Hopefully our boys will keep it cool tomoz..

DC is a vehicle that should remain untouched purely because it allows that fantastic ride you get in team competition where the whole is so much greater than the sum of its parts. Obviously a lot of the credit goes to Cam but a good chunk to the team in terms of getting him ready to play.

It should stay at 5 set tennis, OK the very top players play too much but I am happy that they rest it gives others massive development opportunities, often the first chance to play 5 set tennis comes in DC but any chance for good young players not playing regular main draw slams is invaluable. Very much in the way Kyle took on Serbia in the rain, this will be one of highlight of Cams career regardless of what else he does.

Great win, love it we are becoming a dirtball nation!

Yes TCUFrog, back a couple of pages you will find him. On the Cam having no weapons, well, yes he was quite superb at out rallying Bautista-Agut, but he also packed in twice as many winners as BA did, as you can see in the following link of the match stats - 60 winners in all for Cam, compared with 30 for BA, and 48 of those 60 were forehand winners. He also out aced Agut and comfortably won more first serve winners... It was the number of winners Cam got especially with his forehand that was one of the revelations of that clay court performance.... Clearly following Leon's injunction not to sit back and be passive against the Spaniards, but to take the game to them to have a chance of winning... which Liam also tried to do, particularly in his 3rd set.

Carreno Busta and Lopez are just sharper on returns and at net respectively...

Not looking good, Dom struggling to find his serve, and missing volleys. 3-4*in the second

Perhaps should have continued with college players and partnered Joe Salisbury with Jamie ;0)

Taking out the Murray brothers and Dom and looking at what the post Murray DC team might look like (or who else would pair Jamie) who else could become our doubles team?

Jamie and Kyle? Kyle and Cam? Someone else?

First time I've really seen Carreño play.  He has a bit of a beak on him, hasn't he?  Spoils what would otherwise be quite a handsome face!  cry   Not sure why "JudeMoo" refers to "Feli" as "Deliciano", either...

OMG I definitely do! I so, so, would. Must be one of the best looking male players on tour.

Ahem.

That would be a left over from his long hair days.
