I don't think that's decided yet. It's a slim chance coincidence:
The match to decide Tara's opponent is between Rodgers and Laskutova.
Now, Rodgers did defeat Laskutova today, but it was in the FQR.
Laskutova then got in to MD as a LL, and was drawn against... Rodgers!
So, they are still yet to play each other for the second time, in their MD R32 match to determine who plays Tara.

If Rodgers loses she should try "How about best of 3?"

Ms. Robson *3-2
It should be on stream, but it does not appear to be working today

First set to Laura R. 6-3
The stats would seem to imply that it was a pretty super set of tennis from her.

She's been broken in the second, lets hope it's not going to be a three set disappointment.

Laura breaks for *2-1. She's more often been coming out on the right side of 3 setters of late, let's hope so again, it would be a pretty good win.

Serve seems to be going relatively well, 66% first serves in, 7 aces against 5 DFs if mainly from the first set. Marina has 5 aces against 11 DFs.

Rodgers did beat Laskutova again, and so is confirmed as Tara's opponent in the R16.

Sadly I think that the will is the problem..

Hands up if you're surprised that, having done the *really* hard work in R1, Tara is making a bit of a meal of dispatching a qualifier ...

Tara ended up losing the 1st set but is a break up in the 2nd - 3-6 *4-3

There have been 9 breaks in the first 16 games though, so holding serve seems to be slightly more of a feat than breaking at the moment.

As I was writing, Tara was on the brink of holding serve and receiving for the 2nd set but 3 dfs in one game (11 in total in 8 service games) put paid to that

3-6 4-4*
