Perhaps this could have gone in the US College thread but Ali doesn't appear to have his own thread yet, so I thought this achievement warranted this at least.
Ali won the Hall of Fame Invitational for college players and so guaranteed himself a WC into the MD of the Newport ATP 250 next year.
I see you found the link too Doesn't seem unreasonable for him to have his own thread and for this particular achievement to be on the college thread too.
Edit: Just corrected the thread title - he's Alastair not Alistair (though his Twitter handle implies Ali, which makes it a bit moot!)

Found the link on your tweet thanks, but I had already read the tweet from JTC, who were congratulating him as well for the same achievement.
To bump this, here's congrats to Ali for having won the doubles 25k title in France last week with Ryan Storrie.
He's now at a CH 448 in doubles.
And, even better as far as I'm concerned, his singles is going well - playing well, getting some decent results. He'll back in the top 1000 in no time. And another player who - in my view - is well able to make the top 500. Lovely one handed back-hand. Some really good matches when he was 18, just before he chose to do the college route. Still young. Only just giving it a real go (hope he is, and this isn't just a summer holiday fling).
Alastair has bagged his second 25k doubles title, in the space of couple of weeks, this time with Daniel Cukierman (ISR)
Also is playing the final of the singles tomorrow.
After a decent summer on grass, it's been a blockbuster month for him
Worth noting here that Ali has now won back to back ITF M25 titles in GB, at Loughborough and Glasgow, adding to two titles in South Africa at the end of 2021.
Also worth noting that this was called in September before he was even in the top 1000. So a terrific call I would say. Well done Mr Gray and Coup Droit
Glasgow M25 champion
@aligray226 breaks into the ATP singles top 400 just 3 weeks after becoming a top 500 player for the first time. He jumps 51 places to 361 today & is now up 161 places this year and more than 750 places in the last 12 months!
Also up 48 to 154 in the Race.
Alastair finished 2022 ranked as GB#10. So here is some info on how he put his points together.
The first image looks at how his WR points breakdown, while the 2nd image, should if i haven't missed anything out, give a summary of all his tournaments from 2022.
So Alastair achieved the 2nd biggest climb in WR amongst the Top10. He was the most allergic to the dirt, with 0 ranking points coming from clay. Amongst the Top10 he played the most tournaments (29), the most matches (79) and also clocked up the most wins (53), being the only player out of the Top10 to clock up more than 50. He also made the most finals (5) So a great year all round for him. Other than a couple tournaments in Thailand, he didn't wander too far from home.
