Week 37 - France F19 ($25,000+H) - Mulhouse (indoor hard)

Ed was broken back but eventually came through on the 2nd set TB.

L32: (5) Ed Corrie WR 394 beat (Q) Lucas Bouquet (FRA) WR 1469 (CH = 1359 in July) 6-1 7-6(5)

Edit

So basically what SC said smile

QF:  Ed Corrie &  Denis Matsukevitch (RUS) CR 1292 (907+385) defeated Pascal Meis & Sami Reinwein (GER/GER) CR 1223 (646+577) by 4 & 4

Ed & Denis could end up playing Tom & Joe in the semis, if they beat the fourth seeds, Added (I kid you not!) & Olivetti, in their QF.

Denis Mat only won one more point that Ed in the first set but it was enough to take the set 6-4

Ed is now 3-0 up in the second. And there is now an MTO. Is Ed trying to nobble his doubles partner?

Ed does for his doubles partner:

L16:  (5) Ed Corrie WR 394 defeated Denis Matsukevitch (RUS) WR 852 by 4-6 6-1 6-4

He'll probably face the French top seed, Lamasine, in the QF.

Well, in the strict ranking points case this has been a pointless adventure for Joe ( and Tom ).

Shame Tom and Ed didnt get to play each other. Would have been good for "Corrie" fans everywhere

Ed won 6-3 in third.
Very much a confidence player. He picks up big points in clusters. A lot I think depends on his back holds up and how much effort he can put into the serve.
