V promising and attractive set of quarters, good to see differemt faces. Can't we say we have 4 1/2 players, Evan Furness is pretty close to being a Brit

Yes.
I'd rather hoped Evan F was here, 'displaying his wares', so to speak, to the LTA. And that an offer of sorts might be forthcoming if he did well.
But I read that the FFT stepped up their support for Evan, as of last year, I believe, so it will be less appealing than it was before when he was getting nothing of note from the French.

Needless to say, that must be his best result by far.
So good to see him get a truly good win (he must have needed a ropey match yesterday to get in the groove )
First time he has beaten a player in the top 1000, let alone the top 500, I think Great wins for both him and Ryan. Oli is only 2 wins away from equalling his best winning streak in Futures too.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
I see Marcus Willis was a late withdrawal and out of Barnstaple, but still on Roehampton list??? Injured or just part time player now....
Injury might explain his absence from the Team Finals, but as Seagull mentioned in the "Entries" thread, Marcus is down for qualies for the Turkey Challengers over the next couple of weeks, hence the absence from the GB futures - possibly.
I guess we will know more if/when he appears on the Izmir drawsheet this weekend.
Unfortunately he has also withdrawn from Izmir :)
Injury looks like the most likely then, unfortunately.
However I would like to highlight Penno, who is a break up in the third and seems to be in very good form, based on turning off Ed C a few weeks ago, who is playing very well.
If Penno, Finn or Oli make the final they would get a SE for Roehampton

Assume Finn will get a main draw wildcard for Roehampton now (SE may happen), Oli and Penno would be the other obvious candidates and possibly Aidan McHugh.

I think there are a couple of wildcards owed under the British Tour system too. They're not guaranteed to be used here, fo course, but we have so few events now that there's not that many to choose from. Without looking back to check , Sean Hodkin is entitled to one, I think.
