That's a good win for Cam. Without jumping too far ahead when do the Oz open entry lists close, a good run could get him close to maybe a qualies seeding, probably too much a stretch for main draw entry?

Aussie Open main draw entry is based on rankings 6 weeks before the first Monday, so 04/12/17.

Qualifying seedings will I think be based on the 08/01/18 rankings given qualifying isn't scheduled to begin until Wednesday 10/01/18.

Was looking yesterday and I think Cam has 45 points to defend this year. So if he makes 1/2 finals then definitely a chance to increase that ranking. Will be interesting to see what he manages to do next year with a whole year on the tour.

Big serving from Cam and its 5-0.  I think 2 aces and a service winner in that game.

There are very few spectators. I think the locals have all gone to a high school football match that we can hear in the background

A tidy enough set from Cam, he takes it 6-1.  MM made too many errors.

Cam takes it 1&3.  I'm sure MM can play better than that, but Cam was solid.   To bed!
