Alex Chatt /Maddie Lipp (Northwestern) bt Emily Smith / Fernanda Contreras (Vanderbilt) 8-4
Sarah Dvorak / Sabrina Federici (Texas Tech) bt Jessie Aney / Alexa Graham (North Carolina) 8-6
I'm just heading off for a few days with a relative who lives in a remote and beautiful spot but no wi-fi (even getting a phone signal requires walking half way up the hill behind the property!) so I'm hoping someone will post the scores of those Brits still in competition (Spectator maybe? You did admit to knowing where to find the draws......)
In answer to the South Dakota question on page one (Womens) looks like a new coach. Can be a cut throat World collegiate sport! Not nice and one to be careful of!
also seen that Jazzi Plews on the staff at Baylor but not the roster.

Jefta Kecic/ Lasse Muscheites (North Florida) bt Lucca Baptista/Josh Goodger (Tulsa) 6-3 6-1
Incidentally, while I was looking at scores and following up different teams' Twitter accounts, I came across a link to this - some of us will remember Matija Pecotic from his matches against Marcus Willis and others. It's an interesting perspective on university, the Tour, and post-Tour life: http://goprincetontigers.com/news/2017/7/11/mens-tennis-three-time-ivy-poy-pecotic-13-heads-back-to-school.aspx

Actually, I thought there was some consolation in Charlie Broom's result: Nathan Ponwith is a strong player, and that was quite a close match. And the doubles win was a good one as well. The consolation rounds are significant, because (I have discovered in the course of explorations) the finalists in the consolation tournament receive automatic entry into the next big tournament. So best of luck to Mr Dodridge+ as well! By reaching the SFs in the women's doubles, Ms Federici and her partner have already guaranteed that they will be in that tournament.

Eduardo Mena (Tennessee Tech) def. Julian Cash (Tulsa) 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (3) .... so close! Better news in
Men's Consolation Draw Doubles QFs
Chema Carranza/Josef Dodridge (Wisconsin) def Billy Griffith/JT Nishimura (California) 7-5, 3-6, 10-5 .... well done! And best news of all in
Women's Main Draw Doubles SFs
Sarah Dvorak / Sabrina Federici (Texas Tech) (7) def Samantha Harris/ Kelly Chen (Duke)(Q) 6-1, 0-6, (10-6) ....
thus making the final, where they will play another team from Duke, Ellyse Hamiln and Kaitlyn McCarthy. That's a super win - Kelly Chen, who is just starting at Duke, had a very fine junior career and is something of a star in the making.
Congratulations and good luck to all still playing.
Alas, the men's interest ended in the Consolation Draw SFs, one round short of an automatic qualification for the next major tournament:
Jose Gracia/ Lucas Poullain (Florida State) def. Chema Carranza/Josef Dodridge (Wisconsin) 6-4 6-3
Messrs Gracia and Poullain went on to win the consolation draw. A pity for Mr Dodrige and his partner - but they had a remarkable week, coming through qualifying by beating the #41 ranked team in the final round and then winning two rounds (which were victories over the #12 and #39 teams) in the consolation draw. They will have done themselves no harm in their rankings and in their match practice!
On the women's side there was a very tight match in the Main Draw finals, which just went the way of the opposition:
A super tournament for Ms Federici and her partner, though.
Just to note that in the posts somewhere above, I'd commented that the women's qualifying draw seemed unusually strong. The women's main draw singles final wound up being between two qualifiers, and the semis were two qualifiers, a lucky loser and one direct entrant into the MD. Still haven't worked that one out!

There do seem to have been an awful lot of women transferring this year, including 3 from South Dakota. Do hope it wasn't a Long Beach State sort of situation there.
You mention the transfers from South Dakota and the " Long Beach situation" - seems that that situation may be continuing as the Russian freshman at Long Beach, has disappeared from the roster after only three weeks

Meandering around the ITA website to see what the next tournaments will be, I found that the lower divisions have already had their regional championships. The name 'Tabitha Porter' sounded as if it might be British, so I checked, and indeed Ms Porter is from Norwich - and won the division II South Central championship: roadrunnersathletics.com/news/2017/10/1/mens-tennis-tennis-porter-wins-ita-regionals.aspx.
A little bit of further checking indicated that the Division III regional champion for the Northwest, Ella Riddle, is also British (from Leeds) and attending Linfield College, which seems to be in Oregon.
I only checked the women's and only Divs II and III so may have missed some Brits: full list is at http://www.itatennis.com/Events/ITA_Regional_Championships_Presented_By_Oracle/2017_Results_Page.htm
As a side note, I was fascinated to see that the South Central host site was given as UT Permian Basin. The news item specifies that the tournament took place in Texas ... so presumably it's an outpost of the University of Texas. But I've never before run across a university named after a geological formation!

Its based in Odessa Texas but less famous than the Local High School famous for its Mojo!
Home of the Permanian Panthers! Probably the most famous HS American Football team and the school around which the film and later the series Friday Night Lights was based.
Hi Realist, sad to hear that the coach at Long Beach State is still wrecking young girls's ambitions and causing them unhappiness. Just glad that now Laura Eales has graduated there are no longer Brits involved.
But do you think you could edit your post on this to delete the post you quoted of mine? It is a massively long post collating all info on college kids in one place and to have it repeated completely clutters up the thread and is a bit confusing. Thanks.
