The South East teams are so dominant in this event. Roehampton and Sutton already through to the Semis without dropping a set. I can see it going the same way for A1 and Raynes.
I note that the following 'top' players are taking part (and winning, so far):
Jonathan Gray, Ryan Storrie, Jonnie O'Mara, Scott Clayton, Joe Salisbury, Tom Farq., Neil P, Toby Martin, Mark Whitehouse, Matt Short, Ollie Hudson, Jamie Baker, and Lewis Burton.
Neil Pauffley def Jonny O'Mara 6-4 6-1
Scott Clayton def Peter Bothwell 7-5 6-3
Toby Martin def Mark Whitehouse 6-2 5-7 6-4
Jack Draper def Matt Short 6-4 7-6(4)
Tom Farquharson def Nikolai Snapes 6-0 6-0
Joe Salisbury def Jonathan Gray 3-6 7-5 6-2
Jamie Baker def Ryan Storrie 6-4 6-2
Evan Hoyt def Oliver Hudson 6-2 6-4
Some interesting results in there, but most pleasing of all is to see Evan Hoyt playing and winning again. I note he is down for Roehampton in qualies and Barnstaple in MD using his PR. I hope he can now go on to make a full comeback. If anyone deserves an injury free period, it is Evan.

Predictably the semis were much more competitive than the quarters. Top seeds A1 Pharmaceuticals (champions for the last 3 years) lost to DL Raynes Park by 4-8. In the final DLRP will take on Sutton T and S who won a nail-biting semi against Roehampton but only after a tie break shoot out.
A hugely exciting final resulting in a 8-4 win for Sutton Tennis and Squash Club against David Lloyd Raynes Park. This marks Sutton's third outright win in the last ten years.

It would be cool, if the winner of this progressed into a world club championships, against the winners from France, Spain, Germany, US, Australia etc. I wonder how many countries have a stronger national club league than this apart from the obvious French and German leagues.
You could create a really exciting event by winners from national club leagues playing regional play-offs at some ATP tournaments with court capacity, before a finals weekend to discover the best club team in the world.

Yes that would be a great idea. Anyone know if such an event exists?
