As David again predicted, a reasonably nice draw, given the nature of things, which Anna has taken advantage of:

This is Anna's first time, I believe, into the semis of a Grade 2.

And the top seed (half-Brit, Joanna Garland) got pipped in her QF match, 5-7 in the third. So her next opponent is not particularly well-ranked either, and may be a bit tired....

Just to mention, as a separate point, Loudmilla Bencheikh, (FRA), born 2001, JWR 108, made the QFs here, before losing in two sets.

She's just been given a main draw wildcard into the 80k ITF at Biarritz next week.

Don't see anything similar coming Anna's way........

NB An unseeded young Argentinian lad, born end-2001, and ranked 136, won the singles - the Argentinians are doing well at the moment.
