Vandy, do you ever read counter points about say how much Carreno Busta has accumulated his points in Slams and Masters events, even before this week. Or do you just keep on trucking with such as "vulture" stuff?
LOL at all the clowns on this forum that tried mocking me when I stated a non European would win US OPEN.
As well as stating Thiem would win it. And I hadn't noticed that it was over and a non European had won it. Right now I imagine it's odds against. But hey maybe, indeed I hope so.
I didn't notice any mocking anyway other than a little friendly chiding pointing to your mutually exclusive predictions.
Apparently Federer and Nadal have met 5 times at the French Open, 4 times at the Australian Open and 3 times at Wimbledon, plus 20 times in Masters 1000 events. But never, not ever, in the US Open.
And Andy tried to help out by going out of his way to assist them getting in the same half of the draw

I feel that Delpo vs Nadal is far better (but I'm no fan of Fed)
Also, the organiser's can't (shouldn't) complain that much as they have an all US women's SF + F.
After 5 rounds against players outside the top 50 Rafa will complete the US Open with matches against (24) Del Potro WR 28 and (28) Anderson WR 32.
Of course the 3rd highest ranked player he faced, Rublev WR 53, is a young man very much on the rise and Del Potro and Anderson, fit and well and in decent nick, play to a very much higher standard than their current rankings. But still ...
Just want to say, If Nadal wins the USO, the highest ranked player he will have beaten is Anderson at 22. Congrats for winning ATP 250.
Generation fail really did have a golden chance of winning something (obvs Roanic and Nishikori injured) but Dimitrov Goffin et al are a joke.
Next gen, are just plain simple over hyped- Thiem maybe could win a french at best, pooor hardcourt player. Kyrios- poor mentality. Zverev,-poor over 5 sets.
The way it's going at the moment Federer, Nadal etc will be winning Slams when the NextGen guys make 30. Wonder what odds you would have got on a clean sweep for them in Slams this year?
Well I think it's been great to have something other than the Fedal procession. What a story, Kevin Anderson making it to the final. A great bloke and really happy for him. Maybe we can organise a room so all those who don't like it can go cry in the corner. An area decorated with Fedal posters, a box of assortied dummies, and vodooo dolls of every male player not part of the 'big 4'.
I think though we have here a mixture of posters just commenting and querying on the facts in an interested non judgemental statto way and a couple of others that appear to have severe issues with it all.
Quite a number of posters have commented much more positively on their interest in this rather different Slam and yes, it's neither Rafa's or Kevin's fault. Well done, them.

to clarify and confirm my comment was a genuine nerdy stats comment. I've said elsewhere I've been v interested in this event and am certainly looking forward to the final.
