Both matches tomorrow are listed as "not before 3pm" i.e. 8pm UK time.

Splendiferous!

Can't ask for any more than that. KB is now kicking on in her return to the tour after injury. Showing us there is more to come yet.

Surprising number of breaks - Cagla 5, Naomi 7

Naomi to serve to retain our akcay, 5*-4...

I had just been going to say that the difference in the final set was Naomi not getting broken when she threw in one final one. But all's well that ends well. And Cagla can go and try and buy someone else's akcay.

Well done Katie. Brilliant result. Her next match is so important. Winning would smash her career high, taking her into the 180s and a tidy $43,313 prize money. Come on Katie, such a great effort after such a tough time coming back from injury.

Well done Naomi too. Good luck to both of you in the next round.

Great results to wake up to. Well done those two, although I really thought Naomi would win more easily.

Nix, that was last year's prize money. This year it is $50k for MS first round, and $16,390 for QR3
Not to forget the 30 points already won, with 40 for qualifying.

So thrilled for both.
As soon as I heard, a little while back, that Katie was now less with Jeremy B and more with JTC, I told my French friends to mark that girl, she has always had such lovely timing and clean striking but played as though she was scared of her own shadow.
(My unceasing bias against JB knows no bounds - but doesn't seem to be wrong......)
And great from Naomi too !

I don't think you'll have many opponents on here, CD. By the by, what would Jeremy Bates say were his successes in this role for the LTA?

Good lord, the main draw ceremony was awful.

Anyway, Heather gets Alizé Cornet, who played quite well this week in New Haven, but... is Alizé so could do anything on the day.

Johanna starts against Krunic, then Tomljanovic/Larsson. Her R32 could be Goerges though, who has been in excellent, resurgent form post Roland Garros, so defintely a danger, and also beat Jo comprehensively, albeit on clay at RG, last year. Konjuh/Cibulkova also in the section for R16

I'll take those first two rounds. Georges def a danger but at least the first two gives Jo some time to get used to the courts. Can't believe she in same quarter as Halep again. If you think about the importance of the 2017 matches they've played, it's got to be the rivalry of the year.

Thanks Addict. Even more to play for then. So nerve-wracking!

Likewise, the match before Naomi's on court 10 has just finished, so both will be on court quite soon
