If Billy can get through the qualifier, his likely opponent will be 3rd seed Clement Geens (BEL) who also plays a qualifier. Now I thought that name sounded familiar so I checked back to see that Billy beat him in Cartagena, Spain last year when our local roving reported was AWOL. Billy had lost in FQR that week, a match that I saw, and so I didn't check the website any further. Billy got in as a LL and beat Geens - then ranked 384 - in straight sets, 2&4.
So I would love to be able to give some insight into his potential R2 opponent, but all I can tell you is that he is (or at least was) Billy's career best scalp.
The potential QF opponent would be Antoine Hoang. Billy lost to him in the QF 2 weeks ago losing 7-6 in the 3rd. Hoang went on to win the SF 2&3 and the Final 3&1. He is currently in the 3rd set decider (against Cagnina) of this week's final as well.
Billy is, in my opinion, very close to a real breakthrough week and I don't think it will be long before we see him win a futures title.
I just hope that after this big build up, Billy doesn't go out in R1 this week to a qualifier.
