Excellent news that Liam continues to walk the walk, essential to press home the opportunity he has now created winning the draw of the no.1 seed, I would say if he is going to make the top 100 it's not only essential it's "de Loore".
Damn! I've been awake for a couple of hours but didn't know he was playing! 2nd round matches are usually on a Thursday....But a fabulous win, will have to watch the tie breakers.
Edit: It used to be possible to watch the stream in catch up mode. Has this changed or am I just being hard of thinking?

Fantastic result. What a turnaround from last year. I wonder if he's changed anything in his training routine or if it's down to change in mental approach/greater confidence. I'm sure seeing Jo breaking through relatively late must give all our guys the belief that it can still happen.
And the answer to Steven's question is that Liam won on his 4th match point in the TB, but the first on his serve. Sela also had two set points, both on Liam's serve; thus Liam had the first chance to win the set off a mini break.
Liam also served for the match at 6-5 in the second. I'm not sure if he had a match point, didn't check that far, but Sela had a set point at 30-40, which Liam saved. Whether there were further deuces then I didn't see.
Liam played the big points well in the TB, was very consistent, and had few errors - Sela had more. He came into the net a few times crucially too, each time winning the point. He stayed very calm. A huge win, on a number of levels, congrats to him.
Liam is shown as up to live ranking #242 and live race position #204. I wonder where he'd be in a live race from the start of May.
For the Australian Open Qualifying list he has 189 points 'banked' - currently equivalent to WR 265 and if he wins his QF match ( against an opponent he beat tidily last week ) he will have 205 points 'banked' - currently equivalent to WR 245-247. The US Open Qualifying list cut is currently at WR 243, so assuming some equivalence just one more win here and he'd look virtually there for the Australian list and even if not he will surely get the necessary points before too long.
And in a way all soo much more pleasing because I didn't see this coming, certainly not such a run as he has been on.
