Kyle is now the next player into the MD, should be ok I would imagine, surprise if there isnt at least one more withdrawal over next day or two.

British Tour Premier event at Sutton this week, with double prize money. (£2k to the singles winners, £500 per pair for doubles)

The following ranked players are entered: -
Men - Neil Pauffley, Sean Hodkin, Jonathan Gray, Robert Carter
Women - Alicia Barnett, Gabriella Taylor

Nowhere near as strong an entry as last year

Also Tom Farquharson and Alex Ward are down on the entry list for Sutton (unless it's changed from what's on the LTA site), which boosts the level a bit/a lot. Matt Short is underranked too.

I missed Tom - he's down at 22 on the entry list I am looking at. And Alex is shown as having withdrawn. Matt is number 18.
I'm looking at the LTA website
www3.lta.org.uk/Competitions/Event/

(not the tournament software one, which lists all the initial entries)

Last year - Dan Smethurst, Jay Clarke, James Marsalek, Joe Salisbury and others
Katy Dunne, Lisa Whybourne, Beth Grey, Laura Sainsbury, Lucy Brown, Eleanor Dean ....

Laura appears from Instagram to be back in the UK - and not on any entry lists for the next two weeks. Injured? Seems a strange time to fly back and take a break given her ranking.

She's in US Open Qualifying week beginning 21/08 assuming she is fit and well.

It's on her Instagram story (snapshots that last 24 hours). She appears to be at some grass courts in London. Very odd, there's no location stamp but looks like UK grass courts. Could be totally wrong of course (and so often am!).

Ah, I see it now (wasn't visible on PC, so looked on tablet). Might look like UK grass courts, but it isn't 27C today !

Yes, turns out she's on Long Island. She replied to my twitter question, which appears to have come across as a negative dig but certainly wasn't. Anyhow, good news is she's not injured and training in New York.
