I think I've got this right but Liam is on 137 points with 24 to defend this year. For an example aim 235 points gets you top 220. Assuming he plays all the remaining Canadian/USA challenger, which appears to be his preferred destination, there are 9 tournaments left this year after this week. Will probably need to make a couple of semi finals get to that 220ish mark.
The rankings rise is coming, I feel. I haven't checked but seem to think Liam's race position is at least 40-50 places above his current ranking, and most of those race points seem to have come in the last couple of months. Keep going Liam!
He is #266 in the live race on 132 points. 88 of these ( ie precisely 2/3 ) have been added since the start of May.
Someone beat me to the calculations. I will just add that after this week, Liam will have (at least) 150 points, 88 of which will have come since the beginning of May. Things are definitely moving in the right direction.
I actually make it 28 to come off by the end of the year, but my Maths is cr*p at the best of times.
Edit
Then Indi beat me to my other calculation.

Four first round matches involving seeds were played overnight. All four were dumped out: in addition to Bemelmans, Jaziri (1) was despatched in straight sets by Austin Krajicek, Thompson (2) in three sets by Akira Santillan & Frat-Boy (8) by big Sam Groth, also in three!
Vandenburg makes me laugh with his comments I have to say. He's a bit crazy but variety is the spice of life as they say so his contributions are always welcome.
Anything that keeps the forum from sounding like a twee middle class Tory English Gentlemens club is always welcome with me.
Probably 250 mark for Liam this year might scrape they Aussie qualies in a few months perhaps.
Yes, it's probably completely misplaced (!), but I have a soft spot for Vandenburg too
I doubt it's reciprocated (come on, Vandy, I've set you up and fed you the line) but he does make me laugh, in a Lewis Carroll 'Duchess to her baby' way....

I'm as far as possibly can be from a twee middle class tory gentlemen. First of all I'm Welsh..... I don't think I need to go any further.

+1
The forum is much the more interesting both for his stuff and the contributions he provokes in response.
