Oh, wonderful this is a very good win for Suzy, first against a higher ranked player than her for some time. It's only for 1 point but does feel like a minor breakthrough for her. And she gets a qualifier next with the #4 seed having retired.
QF: Suzy LARKIN (GBR) WR 664 v (q) Hua-Chen LEE (TPE) WR 909 (CH 425 Nov. 12)
At a guess, Lee has been in the States at college: her ranking is not a full one, she played two US tournaments last year and then two in July this year - winning the 15k two weeks ago, and qualifying and winning one round in the 25k last week. She beat the fifth seed here, ranked 435 and ex-top 250, 1&2.
Suzy's R2 6-4 6-2 victory is a good solid win, but sounds like her QF match will be much tougher. For the first time in a while with a whole 2 points so far, she actually has one more point go on her overall total, since she has the full 16 counters, but I'm sure she'd like more than just that one extra point...

Looking Miss Lee up on Universal Tennis (good way to find college players) it says she is a recent graduate of Mississippi State. I assume it is the same person as Jasmine Lee on the Mississippi St roster who was top ten singles and dubs in the college rankings during this past year.
