First time Katy has won the 1st set against Hozumi since their first meeting in Aus Open junior qualifying in 2012 - she lost that in 3 and had only won one set in their 5 matches since then. This is the first time they've met outside Australia and she's now a set & a break up
It's not hard to imagine how gutted she was to draw her no. 1 nemesis yet again and I can't imagine this is going to be an easy match to close out, but she has already done very well to put herself in a position to win. Just hope she can finish it off, I'm sure it would mean a lot.
As if to underline the fact that it's not going to be easy to close out, she's 0-40 on serve at 6-2 *4-3

Wow, fantastic win for Katy, and that's the match of the three that we thought would be by far the hardest and thus the least likely to show a Brit win.
Bektas played in GB back in February in the three indoor 15k tournaments. Beat Ellie Dean twice, two others as well, but lost to Maia in three in the QF at Wirral
