It looks like Liam had a choice between the main draw in Lexington and the Q draw here, so I thought he'd go to Kentucky, though he may have had to make the choice before he scraped into the main draw there.
QR1: (q9) Liam Broady WR 357 v (PR) Frank Moser (GER) UNR (CH 288 in 2003)
Moser, who is now 40, will be playing his first singles match in an ATP-ranked event for a year. The winner will play 2nd Q seed Yuki Bhambri in final qualifying.
L48: Kyle Edmund WR 45 v Hyeon Chung (KOR) WR 53 (CH 51 in 2015)
H2H: 0-1, 3&2, Burnie Challenger QF 2015
The winner will play 4th seed Grigor Dimitrov in R2.
Edit: just correcting the spelling of Dimi's surname.

One more win required to qualify. The qualifying spots in the MD are
Malek Jaziri
Guido Pella
Stefan Kozlov
Marcus Baghdatis
Marius Copil
Lucas Lacko
I was about to comment that all the qualifiers will avoid seeds in the first round, but then I realised it was a 48 man draw and all the 16 seeds got a Bye. So that is hardly surprising and not my best ever stat.

You missed out the "r"!
Ah, that will have been my dodgy Ameican keyboad (no doubt not made in Ameica, but still) - thee is the odd key that doesn't egiste unless you hit it vey had, which isn't ideal. I was in huy so didn't e-ead it as I usually would.

Peasants!
P.S. I also inserted "is" between "who" & "now" in the reference to Franki M!
