Semi Final isn't it not Quarter Final?

L16:  (1) Steven de Waard & Ben Mclachlan (AUS/JPN (*)) CR 271 (135+136) vs Scott Clayton & Jonny O'Mara CR 423 (197+226)

Blimey!  Maclachlan hails from Queenstown, which is on the South Island of New Zealand, & lives in Kiwi-land, yet he's now playing for Japan.  Wonder sort of financial scooby-do went on to persuade him to switch his allegiance?

As an aside, I see Akira Santillan has switched from Japan to Australia this week. Wonder if it was a big money transfer?!

The boys' run cmes to an end, as I feared:

SF:  (3) Adrián Menéndez & Sergiy Stakhovsky (ESP/UKR) CR 392 (204+188) defeated Scott Clayton & Jonny O'Mara CR 415 (195+220) by 1 & 4  cry

Their SF here will certainly take both Scott and Jonny to further new doubles CHs. Live rankings is showing rankings 182 and 214 for Scott and Jonny respectively ( GB # 8 and #10, separated for now by one Dan Evans )

Bizarrely (though admittedly not by ATP ranking standards) Evo seems to be hitting new doubles career highs nearly every week
