Or the other extreme, rather than being over passive, she gets over agressive, and misses the lines. (something Laura R is guilty of as well). I hope she sorts it out soon, she is capable of far better.
An interesting development in the doubles draw: R16: Jocelyn RAE/Jessica MOORE (GBR/AUS) 257 (94 + 163) v. Valentini GRAMMATIKOPOULOU/Nao HIBINO [4] (GRE/JPN) 222 (176 + 46) Emily W-S' old friend, Nao, has been in the singles final in Nanchang this morning, so she'll have a long trip before this match.
Hibino lost in a 3rd set TB today so will probably be exhausted. Grammatikopoulou also lost a tight two setter so hopefully freshness will play a big part here. The match will start after suitable rest.

Joss and Jess win 6-3 6-7(6) [10-6]. Face a couple of youngsters next in Andreescu and Chirico.
I doubt Andreescu cared too much. Earlier in the day, less than a month past her 17th birthday, she defeated WR13 Mladenovic 2 & 3 in the singles. Well done to her, too.

Well, it will be interesting to see if that was a once off for Joss, or she and Jessica are encouraged to play further with each other - and if so, in what tournaments, as would think their rankings are too high for the premier events. They are now respectively 83 and 118 in the live rankings.
