Next up - Michaela Honcova of Slovakia - the top seed, ranked 316
So Francesca Di Lorenzo was the number 1 seed for the NCAA women's singles tournament and is ranked 360 (but down to 287 in July) a 1997 er (JCH 11) and is probably the strongest player in women's college tennis at the moment.
A good performance here against Michaela Honcova who is around about the equivalent rank at 316 (but as low as 235 in 2013) would be a boost prior to the start of Emily's sophomore year. Great to see Emily win through to the weekend regardless.
