Good work. Reaches her seeded round.
Bovina (a LL here, but obviously with pedigree), or Svecova [2] next. Katie will most likely need a solid performance throughout to give herself best chances for that.
Katy D & Emily play in separate doubles QF later

QF: BOULTER, Katie (GBR) 7 255 v BOUZKOVA, Marie (CZE) 2 182 =CH H2H 1-0 Junior Pilar De La Horadada 2013 6-1 6-3
That win against Bouzkova in the final of the Grade 2 event in Alicante secured Katie's only ITF junior singles title, so hopefully she has good memories of the last time she played the Czech, who is about a year younger than her.

QF: (3) Erika Srma (JPN) & Emily Webley-Smith lost to Ellen Perez & Carol Zhao (AUS/CAN) 6-3 6-1
QF: Katie Dunne & Tammi Patterson (AUS) vs Bianca Andreescu & Carson Branstine (CAN/CAN)
- Katie+ were an early break down to the young Canadians at 1-2* when play was suspended.
Bouzkova totally in control so far in second set. Her two service games have been love games while Katie has lost one of her two and saved a number of break points in the other. 1-3.
Ah, decent week if topsy turvy week, but pity Katie couldn't go at least one stage further.
I did mention after her R1 win that it might get interesting re the US Open qualifying list if she won a round or two more.
Well she won one more round and certainly won't make the initial qualifying list. However as best as I can see from TennisForum the cut did get out to WR 240 last year after withdrawals, WCs, etc.
On live rankings Katie is at 241 for this coming Monday's rankings ( the ones that count ) so she might yet be on a watching brief.
