Well that has woken me up this morning. A very good win and a 2nd ATP semi final.
Has to have an excellent chance of his first final too. Harrison is a good player but when you are talking ATP semi final, there are more scary opponents around than him.
Good to see Ryan Harrison back in the top 50. He got to this ranking at such a young age then really struggled with his demons after, falling back outside the top 150 at one point.
Wouldn't mind seeing him lose this one though mind. Great to see Kyle back in form.
You next mission, young man, is to win 3 main draw matches for the first tournament this year. I only realised today ( well now yesterday ) that he hadn't so far done so.
Well done, sir, mission accomplished and looks rather emphatically too. Well, provisional mission, no need to stop there.
Win the SF and it appears that Kyle will be at a live #39, which would be a CH with only Kohlschreiber in Hamburg ( if he won the title ) able to pass him this week.
And his live race position is up into the 50s so that might stop some folk ( moi? ) mentioning so much his year to date being so far behind his ranking. At times it could certainly have been rather better this year but this is certainly a good start to the US hard court season. Good stuff.
