Any reason why Jonny and Scott are not now stepping up to Challenger level ?

Surely their doubles ranking is high enough?

And can somebody tell me why Jonny O'Mara is still playing in the doubles final today, if he retired from his singles match yesterday, especially as his singles retirements seem to be a regular occurrence at the moment?

His last singles retirement was down to food poisoning which lasted 24 hours and he was able to complete his doubles.  Don't know what has happened this week in Ireland though.

So, so far, we have a man in all four quarters of the draw & potentially an all-Brit affair inthe bottom one, though at 4-6 *5-5, Tom has a bit of amountain to climb against Sam Barry!

Tom pulls a mini-rabbit out of the hat, taking the tie-break by 7-2.

Boutillier has taken out Sean Hodkin in straight sets 2&3

But let's not worry about that as Tom has just taken out Sam Barry 4-6 7-6(2) 6-4

L16:  Tom Farquharson WR 1051 defeated (2) Sam Barry (IRL) WR 392 by 4-6 7-6(2) 6-4  jump.gif

*****

QF:  (5) Lloyd Glasspool WR 402 vs Tom Farquharson WR 1051

Sam Barry served for the match too, so a particularly good result from Tom!
