I know nothing about youngster Judith P-S but this has GOT to be the chance, surely, for Laura D to get some much-needed points on the board....

Currently 3-3

Laura reached the SF here last year, so has 4 points to come off in a couple of weeks time.
Leading 6-4 *1-0

Just six teams entered in the doubles! This means Olivia has a QF spot already and is playing for a SF 4-6 2-1*
The ITF website has her as GBR, but it's Livescore App has her as GER. You'd have thought it would read from the same data set!

Olivia lost in the doubles.

Both Gabi & Freya are slumming in $15K's this week for some reason. At least Gabi started reasonably convincingly, 6-3 6-2

I can certainly see a reason for Freya. She is lacking wins and probably confidence.

I think Gabi's own confidence took a knock at the end of the grass court season. She had two big defeats to higher ranked players, including of course her q1 loss at Wimbledon. In addition this is a hard court, so I think she's adjusting to the change of surfaces now for the hard court season. Along with Katie B, Harriet - and Mandy C at the moment - she is entered into the Woking 25k hard court event at the end of this month. So this is some advance hard court practice, with the aim being some confidence rebuilding matches too I suspect.
