Given up on trying to find any info on results in Cromer - the website shows the event as finishing Friday gone, but no results posted.
So hard to find anything who ever runs the SM&M needs to up their game. Found this on FB, no idea who else was in the draw. Allegedly the womens event was cancelled due to lack of interest, (or lack of information)
*CROMER PROGRESS TOUR BY NOVELLUS
Congrats to all of our competitors this past week and to our eventual champion Joe Kelt who came through a tense finale against Anthony Weingarten with a 6-4 2-6 10-6 victory.
Joe becomes a first time Progress Tour Champion, scooping the coveted title, the trophy and the £2,000 winners cheque, following in the footsteps of previous Cromer champions Toby Samuel, Ryan Storrie and Oscar Weightman. A stepping stone to a great summer ahead
With thanks to event sponsors Novellus Finance, HotelPlanner, our competitors, Referee John Bruley and all at Cromer Tennis & Racquets Club - who navigated some challenging weather conditions on the North Norfolk coast this week. We are fortunate to have hosted the fourth edition of this event on some of the finest grass courts in the country
Next stop the pristine acrylic courts of Aldershot Tennis Centre on the Surrey/Hampshire border - a new stop in the summer swing for the inaugural Aldershot Progress Tour by Novellus 30th June - 4th July 2025 *

So these UTR events and particularly Cardiff. A few questions!
- they seem to have a stronger entry than British Tour recently; do UTR events, per your prize money breakdown above, pay more than the British Tour Premier level events? - do the UTR events have a linked structure or narrative or are they standalone? I know there is a Progress Tour and are these UTR events part of that? - the British Tour premier events seem to be fewer than past years or is that a wrong perception? And is the British Tour dwindling a bit? - I saw the UKPL has a couple of events this year - will they be UTR events or separate?
Basically how do UTR, UKPL, Progress Tour and British Tour all hang together or dont they and shouldnt I care about that!
I think we should view all those as nothing more than additional money events and/or additional playing opportunities.
The GB UTRs are organised by The Progress Tour. I see The Progress Tour as an organisation that puts on stand alone money events at various levels. It's not a Tour in the sense of tournaments counting towards some kind of season long points table.
UTR have introduced a points race this year for players with a PTT Tour Card. As I understand it, the top 100 in the race at the end of the year get additional prize money.
As for the rest I can't spoil all your fun in researching it.
I noticed Marcus Walters stands 15th in the mens global race for the PTT
top woman is Karola Bejenaru, 57th, who is a completely unknown name to me.
