UTR Tennis Tournaments (in Britain or with British Players)

Just noticed that Blu is playing the Florida UTR event this week

Which hopefully means he's recoved from whatever injury it was.....

I assume the earthquake in Turkey and Syria is occupying everyone in Turkey, making tennis at Antalya rather irrelevant.

I wouldn't be surprised if that tournament has been scrapped, given what is happening in Turkey at the minute

I like Richard Bloomfield, and great that he's still around, but the odds were utterly ridiculous this morning ! (thankfully - )

Will Mclennaghan is a really good player, one of my favourite 'unranked, unknown' players - lots of skill and pace - and he had Richard's number, pretty much from the start, and won in two

Good to see Millen back here, and playing well. Beat Mike Shaw easily

Anthony Wright played a nice match - he has a nice game for an 18 year-old.... beat David Qualye without too much trouble

Other wins for James Mackinlay, Ed Pudney, Patrick Foley, George Houghton and Craig Evans

Entry list and Round Robin groups for this week's UTR combined event in Easton.
https://twitter.com/Barry_Fulcher/status/1641844517585158379?cxt=HHwW1oOw8fm4gMktAAAA.

With, I understand, $400 minimum and $3,600 to the winner I really don't understand why mid to low ranked Brits are not taking advantage of this.

Congrats to Louis Bowden who won the event

Not that you'd really know it - the website for the Progress Tour is the worst website I've ever used

But well done to Louis, and whoever came second, or whatever, coz I've got no clue....

(I believe that Vlada Ekshibarova, age 34, from Israel, won the women's)
