Guaranteed British Wimbledon champion. Can't wish for one over the other here as I like both of the British playars and their partners. The only thing left to swing it would be to root for the underdog.
When i watched on the Beeb they said Jamie and Martina are regarded as clear favourites for the mixed title. And I would call them favourites, even though they are facing the defending champions.
Wow that was FAB!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guaranteed GB champ!!!! Oh I really don't know who to support.........
When was the last time we had Brits on opposite sides of the net in a final? (It might be obvious...am I being lazy?)
My (fully Scottish) mother is going to cheer for Jamie and so I'll have to cheer for Hev. Ok, so I would have anyway but it's a good excuse should I need one
I was asked that question on Twitter too. This is the first time in the Open era at Wimbledon.
The last Wimbledon finals in each of the main 5 senior events with Brits on each side of the net were:
Men's Singles: 1909 - Arthur Gore (+) beat Major Josiah Ritchie
So the first time for 83 years in mixed doubles, the first time for 62 years in any doubles and the first time for 56 years in any of the main Wimbledon events!
(*) in GB's 1936 Davis Cup-winning side too and the last GB men to win this title before Jonny Marray
(+) the last GB men's singles title at Wimbledon before Fred Perry and still the oldest age at which anyone has won that title (41, so presumably Fed is intending to break that record in about 2023! ...)

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
I'm supporting Hev and Hen because (a) they both make me laugh, (b) (takes big breath) Hev's a singles player and needs help, in game style and confidence, and this will help, and Jamie's been at the top of doubles for ages and mixed doubles won't make any real difference to him, and (c) yes, they've got to be the underdogs.
Interesting reading, although if you look carefully at the picture captions, you may spot the typo. I know Ken may be getting on a bit but I am not sure he is quite 345 years old yet.

Thanks for that, Bob. Definitely interesting reading. There's another typo, too, in the actual text: Bryan Klein!

Thanks Steven!
Glad I wasn't missing any very recent, glaringly obvious answer!
