RE: Weeks 27 & 28 - Wimbledon (grass) - mixed doubles

QF:  Henri Kontinen (FIN) & Heather Watson CR 82 (1+81) defeated (10) Rohan Bopanna & Gabriela Dabrowski (IND/CAN) CR 44 (21+23) by 6-7(4) 6-4 7-5  biggrin

*****

SF:  Henri Kontinen (FIN) & Heather Watson CR 82 (1+81) vs (2) Bruno Soares & Elena Vesnina (BRA/RUS) CR 10 (6+4)

So, in theory, we could have a Jamie/Martina vs Henri/Hev final....

Go Heather and Henri!

So frustrating that doubles Heather is more of what we'd like to see in her singles matches...

Just typical of the beeb to switch to highlights with one game to go - spent a frantic minute trying to find it on the red button

I never mess about with all that red button malarkey!  When Sue says a match is now the feature match on the red button, I immediately go to Channel 601.  That said, when I did that this evening, they were still showing the Demoliner/Martínez vs Pavic/Kichenok QF, but very quickly switched  to Hev's & Henri's QF.

I was watching having been on live pause so being invited to switch to the red button rang a bit hollow cry

Great to find out (here! smile) that they duly closed it out biggrin

I couldn't remember what channel it was - I have Sky, and it isn't 601 - I think it is 980, but hardly ever use it. I would have called the match up the website, but my laptop wasn't switched on.

we have a cable package and all 6 red button channels are 991 to 996, just change to them as though it were any other channel.

None of this waiting to load business that always seemed to take an age.

It would be good to see an all Brit+ final, but even better if they then indulged in some partner-swapping. Jamie+Henri and Heather+Martina.

I have how the mainstream press mention Jamie and Heather, but nothing on Ken and Joss.

The Times had a write-up about the third round matches of Heather, Neal and Jos, but nothing yet on today's QF matches - too busy focusing on Jo

Looks as if there was a lot of high-quality tennis all around - and great to see the seats full during the matches! Jocelyn Rae looked excellent in the bits of her match that I saw. And Ms Watson and Mr Kontinen are a huge amount of fun to watch.
