I was just wondering earlier today whether Lisa would ever be able to come back again. Sad to hear that she won't be but that's a good article.

Loved watching her compete, but it did seem like she was made of glass at times. Such a shame injuries got in the way.

It's a great article thanks Embee. I was wondering about Lisa too and am glad that someone has done a proper profile on her, and given her an opportunity to sum up her own situation, including the reason why it is so hard to recover from injuries when you're forced into other kinds of work to pay the bills... I hope she is able to make a career out of coaching now.

A very good article, sad news, I wish Lisa all the best obviously. A classic case of the "fine lines" in sport. She can certainly be proud of how well she did though, especially after reading the article.

Very sad to hear this, she clearly had the potential to get higher - but injuries always ruined her opportunities. All the best with your coaching endeavours Lisa :)

Sad news indeed. I saw Lisa play a couple of times in the last two years - in between injuries - and it is such a pity that her career had to end. I'm sure she will do well as a coach though.

Lisa was very unlucky with injuries and always came across as a lovely person. Best wishes to her for the future.

Real pity - enjoyed following her career and thought she could climb higher but it takes courage to walk away so well done Lisa for making the call and being happy with your choice. Enjoy the coaching.

If Lisa can teach any of her charges how to be as determined and hard-fighting as she was, then they'll have a real head start. Great, no-nonsense appraoach, just got on with it, gritted her teeth and wrought blood from the stone of her talent.
A shame to lose her, as we did Jade Windley. Two great role models and I hope Lisa can similarly find a role imparting her knowledge to others.
